Back to Reality is a great sketch for a youth group featured at Fitlyspoken Ministry, where 4 teens engage in an honest conversation about the new school year approaching and the potential good and bad influences around them. This thought-provoking piece opens the discussion on how to maintain moral integrity in a non-moral environment, aligning with our commitment to fostering faith-driven guidance for young people. Designed to spark meaningful dialogue, Back to Reality supports youth leaders in addressing real-life challenges while encouraging positive decision-making. It embodies the values Fitlyspoken Ministry stands for—strengthening character and spiritual resilience within the local community.

    Director's Notes:

    • This sketch can take place at a store, record shop, park, mall or whatever setting you'd like to create where teens may be and see each other.
    • The sketch is not designed to give an answer, but to create an atmosphere of discussion. After the sketch everyone can give his or her opinion and advice on how to handle the situation that is presented. This could be a sermon set up or an opening to a forum.
    • Two female teens and two male teens enter from opposite sides. Their conversations overlap, so timing is critical. I suggest each side –male and female – learn their lines and conversation flow independently. As if the other half didn't exist. Once they've established a good independent tempo bring the two halves together.
    • This event takes place a week before school begins.
