This takes place on Mount Horeb near a cave. This can be a suggestive set. Maybe two flats at an angle creating an indentation to suggest the cave. Maybe a ‘rock’ or ‘tree stump’ to sit upon. This is a conversation between Elijah and the Lord. The Lord can be someone off stage or a recording. I will be creating a recording this month with sound effects and music background for the piece.

Either lights can come on revealing Elijah or he can run in from off stage. He is exhausted and afraid. He constantly looks back the way he came expecting Jezebel’s troops to seek him out.
